TEST RUGBY: Algeria Rule the North African Roost

Algeria's 50-0 win over Egypt in the CAR Development Trophy final played in Cairo Friday was the second fifty-pointer in a week. On Wednesday they defeated newcomers Libya also by fifty points. Although this was not the highest level of African rugby (in fact it's the lowest) Algeria displayed enough superiority for CAR, the governing body of African rugby, having to consider promoting the Algerians to the next level of African rugby. This would probably be the African Trophy North which, in 2010, consisted of Niger, Democratic Rep.of Congo, Mali, Burkino Faso, Ghana, Senegal A (who took Nigeria's place), Togo and Benin.
