Briefly
Sri Lanka has qualified to play in next years Asia 5 Nations division which is the top league for Asian rugby. From the 2014 Asia 5 Nations competition one team will qualify directly to the 2015 Rugby World Cup finals and the 2nd placed side will qualify for the repechage rounds. Sri Lanka comfortably defeated a very disappointing and apparently unfit Kazakhstan side.

Chinese Taipei stay in Division 1 for 2014 whilst Thailand returns to Asia Nations Division 2.

In ENC competitions overnight Germany overwhelmed an underprepared Swedish side, Switzerland surprised Malta at home, Israel just squeaked past Latvia at home, Hungary defeated Austria by 1 point whilst Bulgaria defeated Slovenia at home.
